Valencia Through To Champions League Quarter Final On Away Goals After Draw Against Inter Milan

Looking for the latest news on the 2007 UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final Draw?

After a thrilling 2-2 draw in the San Siro, Valencia need only keep a clean sheet at home in the Mestalla to ensure their place in the quarter final draw in Friday.

The game was pretty uneventful considering the goal scoring talent on display champions league veterans Morientes and Crespo who have both scored for a number of clubs in this competition could not break the deadlock. Neither could young firebrands Ibrahimovic or David Villa, indeed there was little action until the game was over. However the scoreline means yet more heart break for Hernan Crespo who has yet to win this competition despite his regular involvement.

After the final whistle there was a mass brawl between both sets of players which continued in to the tunnel and dressing room area. David Navarro struck Nicolas Burdisso, who has a broken nose to nurse for his trouble. Navarro was then chased by Julio Cruz and Ivan Cordoba but escaped their retribution.

Most of the brawl was caught on camera and UEFA will have to decide the best course of action for both clubs. They have already expelled Feyenoord from the UEFA Cup this season for not being able to control their fans. What punishment will they levy for these clubs who were unable to control their players?
