Tottenham Sign Defender Ricardo Rocha From Benfica
posted by Barry on January 23, 2007
In a deal in the region of €5M Spurs have acquired Ricardo Rocha an experienced defender who can play at right back or centre-half. Rocha has played seven games in the Champions League this season and will add steel to the Tottenham defence that has suffered during the absence of club captain Ledley King who is currently sidelined with a bruised foot.
Rocha’s experience will help Spurs get the results that they need if they are to play European football next season. He will be seen by the Spurs faithful as a more than suitable replacement for Calum Davenport who left for West Ham last week.
