Tottenham Fans Petition Prime Minister Tony Blair For Improved Transport Links To White Hart Lane
Disgruntled Spurs fans who have endured years of difficulty travelling to home fixtures have taken to the internet to put pressure on the Prime Minister to improve the transport links to White Hart Lane.
The petition was created by 16 year old fan Willaim Harris who travels across London from his home in Teddington to attend matches in Tottenham. He wants Transport For London (TFL) and London Underground to extend the tube network to have a station closer to the clubs Home on Tottenham High Road.
The club have considered moving from their current home and have cited the poor transport facilities as one of the main contributory factors for any possible move. They had even considered the new Olympic stadium as a possible new venue, but although the transport links would be fantastic the capacity of the stadium after the games will be in the region of 25000. Which is 11000 less than White Hart Lane.
The petition is open for signatures until 6th August this year and currently has over 4000 signatures. If you want improved transport to Tottenham games or would just like to lend your support to fellow football fans you can access the petition from the following link:
