Rumours Of A Transfer For Nakamura From Celtic
NAKAMURA HOT PROPERTY?
Once again, during the Summer transfer window clubs are chasing after Celtic’s Asian midfield genius, Shunsuke Nakamura. The Japanese International has been linked today with a transfer to four unnamed ‘Big’ European clubs by an Italian Lawyer acting as his representative.
Nakamura is one of Celtic’s key players after securing the championship with a wonder goal in the last minute of extra time at Kilmarnock and another greater free kick against Manchester United at Celtic Park in the Champions League to seal the Glasgow side’s place in the last 16. However since his arrival at Celtic Park, Nakamura has clearly stated that one day he would love to play in Spain this has always fuelled speculation and rumour that the midfield maestro would leave Celtic for pastures new.
However a Celtic club spokesperson said, “Celtic have a contract with Nakamura for next year and the option for a further year.”
Whatever the outcome of this saga, Celtic will not allow their top player to leave for pennies. They have recently purchased Scott Brown for £4.5 million and last year they sold Stilian Petrov for £6.5 million (plus add ons to take it up to £8 million) so there is no way that Nakamura would leave for anything less than £8 million, after you take into consideration: He is an International player, his free kicks have been rated as one of the bets in the world by Ronaldinho, and the revenue he brings in from merchandise both at home and in Japan plus media coverage in his homeland - would make Nakamura the single biggest transfer out of Scottish Football.
