Robbie Keane Out For Six Weeks With Knee Ligament Injury
Tottenham manager Martin Jol gave Spurs fans the news that none of them wanted for Christmas. Striker Robbie Keane will be out for at least six weeks with a knee ligament injury that he picked up during Tuesday nights game against Middlesbrough at White Hart Lane.
Keane was only on the pitch for ten minutes but that was enough time for him to score the winner from a quick Tom Huddlestone free kick. He will be sorely missed as Spurs look to progress in three cup competitions, they are already without the services of Egyptian striker Mido. Tottenham play host to Dinamo Bucharest next Thursday as they attempt to top their UEFA Cup group to avoid one of the Champions League teams in the draw for the next Friday. The following week they entertain giant killing Southend United in the Carling Cup quarter final, then in the new year they have to travel to Wales to take on Cardiff in the FA Cup.
