Spurs winger Reto Zeigler has joined Serie A side Sampdoria in permanent deal. The 21 year-old had made 15 appearances for the Italians during a loan spell last season.

The Swiss international is the last reminder of Jaques Santini’s short reign as Spurs manager, he had limited opportunity and with Gareth Bale joining during the transfer window there will be even less opportunity next season. Zeigler scored once for Spurs in 35 appearances, in the 5-2 win against Everton.
