Reo-Coker Slates West Ham After Transfer to Aston Villa
West Ham United have sold their club captain for £8.5 million to Aston Villa. There had been rumours about the England Under-21 captain’s future after he submitted a transfer request at the end of last season.
There was a changing room bust up that caused a rift between the player and the club. The press put the team’s poor performance on the pitch down to the fall out between the captain and the club, the player felt he was “hung out to dry” by the club.
Reo-Coker was delighted to sign the new four year deal with Villa, glad to get away from the grief at West Ham and overjoyed to be working under Martin O’Neill.

So Reo-Choker has departed. I have only one thing to say:
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West.
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever; I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
