Birmingham manager Steve Bruce has begun his summer spending spree by signing Arsenal’s Fabrice Muamba on a permanent deal. The nineteen year-old who impressed during his season long loan at St. Andrews will want to show his old boss Arsene Wenger that he can perform in the premiership next season.

Bruce feels the midfielder has justified the praise he heaped on him when he arrived at Birmingham last year. Muamba played in 41 of the games that helped the blues to promotion.
