Football boots are certainly not the clod-hopping heavy duty things of the past. Nowadays they are more like ballet shoes!

first of all: they’re ugly. (Whatever happened to normal black football boots?)
Also, the adverts are horrible and cringeworthy. Have you seen the one with Cristiano Ronaldo appearing to outrun a Bugatti Veyron, allegedly the fastest car in the world, while wearing the Orange Peel versions?? Orange peel i ask??? Orange peel football boots??? UUGGHHH

They certainly look the part and am sure they contain all the latest technology to give players the best possible chance on the pitch but “allowing players to be the fastest to the ball” because of what boots they wear? - Please. Does anyone, other than naive kids, actually believe this marketing guff? Put Ronaldo in a pair of £20 bottom-of-the-range boots that are worn up and down the country on Sunday mornings and he’d still be one of the best players in the world.
