Javier Mascherano has told the Spanish press that he must leave West Ham United as soon as possible. In an interview with Equipo he said “I have to leave… can’t spend any more time like this, without playing. I can’t allow my career to go stagnant at my age.”

The 22 year old doesn’t believe he has been given a fair chance at Upton Park, and in order to achieve his goal of success he believes he needs to move on. He is not short of potential suitors as both Liverpool and Real Zaragoza would both like to sign him. Juventus would have been the third name in the hat however they feel contractual predicament is too complicated, as he is actually owned by his agents MSI but registered to West Ham.
