Manchester United Crowned Premiership Champions As Chelsea Fail To Beat Arsenal At The Emirates Stadium

Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United side were crowned champions on Sunday when Chelsea failed to maintain the pressure on the league leaders.

Mourinho’s men needed to beat Arsenal on their visit to the Ashburton Grove if they were to have any hope of retaining their title. However the best they could do was draw. The Blues will have to give Manchester United a guard of honour on Wednesday when the new Premiership Champions visit Stamford Bridge. It will be a bitter pill for Jose Mourinho and his players to swallow. In recent weeks they have watched the possibility of a quadruple slip from their grasp.

Both clubs will probably field weakened teams for a meaning less premiership clash, resting players while trying to gain a mental advantage ahead of the FA Cup final later this month.
