Manchester Prepared For Roman Invasion In The Champions League Quarter Final

In the aftermath of the violence at the first leg at the Stadio Olimpico last week and with reports that the AS Roma Ultras have bought the entire allocation, there is no surprise that both clubs have tried to promote calm.

Roma’s Rosella Sensi has told the press that supporters of his club will not be the cause of any trouble. He said “It’s right to call for calm, but our fans know how to behave whether they are in Italy or abroad.”

His sentiments were reciprocated by Sir Alex Ferguson, he reassured Roma fans saying “There has never been a history of trouble and the Roma fans should not fear a thing” he continued “I do not anticipate any problems at all … The security at Old Trafford is fantastic.”

UEFA are currently investigating the incident from the first leg with both clubs waiting for the results with baited breath.
