Injury Means Henry Misses Rest Of Season For Arsenal

Arsenal will be without their club captain for the rest of the season. Henry’s season has been blighted with niggling injuries, and Arsenal have had to rely on comparably inexperienced players.

In the Champions League game against PSV he sustained injury to stomach and groin muscles. The latest in a growing list of ailments suffered by the Frenchman this season; he has had problems with a sciatic nerve and a foot injury already this season.

Henry indicated that the length of last season and playing in the World Cup were contributory factors to the injuries he has suffered this season. He will also miss the up coming Euro 2008 qualifying game against Lithuania but should be back in time for the home fixtures against Ukraine and Georgia.
