Heskey Heads North

Dave Whelan has loosened the purse strings at the JJB, allowing Paul Jewell to spend £5.5m on bringing Emile Heskey  to Wigan from Birmingham. After a disappointing season last year with the blues, Heskey will be hoping that he doesn’t bring his form or the relegation battle to the JJB Stadium with him.

It appears that Heskey’s ‘reputation’ has landed him a move with SkySports quoting Paul Jewell beaming about his acquisition saying “He’s played over 300 Premiership games, he was a mainstay in the Liverpool and England attack for several seasons and has played and scored in both the World Cup and the Uefa Cup.”
