Fabregas Taunts Blackburn Manager Mark Hughes With Barcelona Jibe
Cesc Fabregas has apologised to Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes having insulting him after the FA Cup tie at the Emirates Stadium. The young Spaniard gave Hughes the tongue lashing after his side had held by a reasonably negative Rovers performance. In the after match conference Hughes explained the spat saying: “He came off the pitch and asked me if I had played for Barcelona and when I said that, yes I did, he said something to the effect of `that wasn’t Barcelona football, was it ?”
The Rovers performance was much better than their last at the new Arsenal stadium, when they were played off the park and beaten 6-2. The satisfaction of the performance was disappeared though when Hughes and Fabregas exchanged words. Hughes explained how he felt saying “I thought the boy showed disrespect to somebody who has won a lot more FA Cups than him,”.
Fabregas who was part of the Barca youth system, has extended an apology to Hughes, citing his poor personal performance as the reason for his outburst.
