Spurs favourite Edgar Davids looks to be close to a dream move back to Holland to join his former club Ajax.  Davids has not made many starts for Tottenham this season, those that he has made have often come from off the bench.  Martin Jol believes that the two clubs have reached and agreement and a deal is close to completion.

Tottenham would be happy to have him off the wage bill, but would miss his influence and work with the youth players at the Spurs Lodge. For Davids it would be a fitting end to a glittering career returning to the club that launched him to footballing stardom.
