Following his fantastic season with Bayern Munich many had hoped that Arjen Robben would help light up the World Cup finals in South Africa. He was injured as Holland cruised to victory against Hungary.

Robben scored twice during the game, he injured himself trying to pull off a trick on an attack. The ‘unnatural’ movement of the flick inflicted injury to his hamstring. He has not travelled to Africa with the rest of the squad, preferring instead to get seek medical attention in the hope that he can recover to take part in the group stages.
