Dowie Off To A Winning Start At Coventry

Just one day after he was officially announced as the new Coventry City manager Iain Dowie has guided his new charges to victory in his first game in charge.

All the goals were scored in an action packed first half, the home side went in front through Adebola, but were soon pegged back when Saganowski scored for Southampton after fourteen minutes.

Kevin Kyle restored the home lead much to the delight of the seventeen thousand supporters in the Ricoh Arena. The Sky Blues managed to close out the match and hold on for a much valued three points, lifting them to 15th in the Coca-Cola Championship.
