Piers Morgan visited South Africa to highlight what was going on there before the World Cup and what it meant to the people, whilst he was there he met Siphiwo Desmond Ntshebe who was chosen by Nelson Madela to convey a unique global message of hope at the opening of the World Cup in South Africa. It followed his story as a man who had been given an opportunity to sing to an audience of over 2 billion viewers worldwide, Piers Morgan even accompanied him to the stadium where he would sing in just a few weeks. The Piers came on screen to say that after only been back a few weeks he had heard the tragic news that Siphiwo Desmond Ntshebe had tragically passed away after contracting a virulant form of meningitis. To be so close to a dream that this Tenor who had been dubbed the ‘new Pavorotti’ is a tradegy. The powerful track carries a special message of hope and compassion written by Nelson Mandela and spoken by the 91-year-old Father of South Africa on the record.

“In memory of Siphiwo Desmond Ntshebe, the Building Lasting Hope Charity has been set up to promote and the benefit of the people in South Africa and the UK by the advancement of education and training; the relief of poverty, sickness and distress; the promotion of good health; and the provision of recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life.”

Waka Waka This Time for Africa written by Shakira who will perform it with Freshlyground a South African band has been chosen by Sony and FIFA as the official World Cup song. It is now available to download as an MP3 or buy as a single.

In her video she shakes her booty the only way Shakira knows how. Some people are not happy that she has been chosen over a South African singer, but the decision was made a few months ago.

South Africa plans to throw the biggest party ever to celebrate the greatest football show on earth at Soweto’s Orlando Stadium, the largest in Africa’s history. The day before the opening ceremony 10th June 2010, a massive crowd of 30,000 will gather to watch International stars, the likes of Alicia Keys, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend and Shakira to name but a few, but it will cost the equviliant from £40.

Terry Venables If I can Dream World Cup Charity Single went on sale yesterday. It is a cover of Elvis Presley’s If I can Dream.

The singles proceeds will go towards the Help for Heroes charity backed by the Sun newspaper and Malaria No More UK.

It is soaring up the UK chart and the bookies now have it at 8-1 to reach the No1 spot, but there will be fierce competition from the James Corden and Dizzee Rascal single released tomorrow.

Tonight James Corden and Dizzee Rascal performed the unofficial England anthem ‘Shout For England’, which will be a World Cup charity single where all royalties will be going to Great Ormand Street Hospital. It is to be released early due to massive public demand and will be available from Wednesday next week.

Of course the man behind the idea is Simon Cowell, great timing Simon!
