Campbell Looks For Pastures New
Five years after he deserted the Tottenham faithful to make the short journey across north London to Gillespie Road to play for the reds at Highbury. Sol Campbell has decided that he doesn’t want to play in the new Emirates Stadium next season.
He had a torrid time this season struggling not just with injury, but with his own personal demons. The phenomenal success of the partnership formed between ‘Big’ Phil Senderos at centre half with Kolo Toure, has also made it difficult for Campbell to stay at Arsenal.
Although he is ageing and seemingly well past his best, it appears he has no shortage of suitors, Portsmouth, Fenerbace and Inter Milan. However having heard Arsene Wenger talk to SkySports News it looks like the Portsmouth will be out of the question as Wenger was quoted as saying “He wants to go abroad and start a new life.”
