Argentineans Mascherano And Tevez Staying At Upton Park

Alan Curbishley has conceded that he is stuck with the two Argentine internationals Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez. In an interview with SkySports Curbishley said “They are with us until the end of the season, it’s as simple as that because of the rules.”

The players have found it difficult to adjust to life in the Premiership and there has been much speculation over their future following the completion of the Icelandic take over at Upton Park. Javier Mascherano is rumoured to have a number of suitors, however Juventus Liverpool and Zaragoza are the front runners.

However there is a massive obstacle to any transfer for the pair; FIFA rules will allow their transfer of registration to a third club in a year but  they don’t legislate for players playing for any more than two clubs in a year.  Which means that their prospective new clubs would not be able to use them until next season.
